It is looser and more Parisian than his later works and as it surfaced in America it could well be one of the many wealthy heiresses wearing a furrow between New York and London at the time

I’ve not come across this artist before and barely any paintings appear on the market so this is valued entirely on the image of these two - is it dog resembling its master or vice versa
