A 25Th Infantry Battalion "Victoria Rifles" Cap Badge, By Tiptaft, C.1915 certificate_of_authenticity measuring 855 mm x 42In browning brass, maker marked "TIPTAFT, B'HAM" on the reverse, measuring 48. 2 mm (w) x 49 mm (h), both lugs intact, green oxidation evident throughout on both sides, near extremely fine. Footnote: The Battalion was raised in Nova Scotia and mobilized in Halifax under the authority of G. O. 36, March 15, 1915. The Battalion sailed May 20, 1915 under the command of Lieutenant Colonel G. A. LeCain with a strength of 42 officers and 1,081 other ranks.
