Constructed of silvered feinzink, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a raised propeller, anchor, and edelweiss, symbolizing the Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine, and Gebirgsjger (Heer) respectively, topped by a date of 1940, an inscription of NARVIK, and a German national eagle perched on top of a wreathed swastika, the reverse cloth backer added replaced after the war, with two of the attachment prongs broken off, measuring 55 mm (w) x
