Saxony, Kingdom. An Honour Cross for Voluntary War Aid 1914-1918 United Republic of suspended from a fixed ring(Ehrenkreuz fr freiwillige Wohlfahrtspflege im Kriege 1914 18). Instituted 1 March 1912 by King Friedrich August III. (1916 1918 issue). Constructed of gilded bronze with enamels, consisting of a Cross Patte with pebbled arms joined through the quadrants by a circular laurel and oak leaf wreath, the obverse bearing a central raised monogram of King Friedrich August III, surrounded by a blue enameled ring, the reverse bearing central raised dates 1914
