Stitched onto the peak with its factory original zig-zag stitching is an insignia consisting of a dark grey wool backer bearing a machine-embroidered silver-grey Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika

An extremely well preserved Heer dress bayonet, measuring 39. 5 cm in total length when inserted into the scabbard. It features a 25 cm long, nickel plated, magnetic steel blade which retains factory original sharpening to both the tip and lower edge, and with a wide fuller running the majority of the length of the top edge of each side. The obverse ricasso is maker marked with the classic knights helmet logo of Weyersberg, Kirschbaum
