Ecuador, Republic. A National Order Of Merit, Iii Class Commander, Archive circumscribed by an inscription of(Orden al Mrito Nacional). Instituted in 1921. Type II (Post 1937). Three piece construction, Republic of Ecuador coat of arms insignia in silver gilt, mounted to a base with twelve emanating rays in silver with red and green enamels, unmarked, measuring 56 mm (w) x 87 mm (h) inclusive of its wreath suspension, intact enamels, scattered gilt wear evident on the insignia, replacement incorrect ribbon, near extremely fine.
