Turkey, Ottoman Empire. A Medal for Glory, c. 1853 Heer. A Flak/Artillery Hauptmann’s Service Tunic with additional minor fatigue visible(Nishani Iftihar). Instituted by the Sultan of Turkey in 1853. Type 3. In silvered bronze, obverse cipher of Sultn Abdl Mejd I above the date 1270 (AH1270 = 1853AD) within a circle imposed on a laurel wreath and arrows(?). Atop is a crescent moon and six pointed star. Reverse shows a six pointed star imposed on a twelve pointed star above the inscription Nishani Iftihar. Green and red ribbon with crossed swords and date. Good condition, tiny blue mark
