Austria, Imperial. A Bravery Medal, Gold Grade, C. 1916 Auction Archive until February 13(Tapferkeitsmedaille in Gold). Instituted on 19 August 1789. (1866 1918 issue). Constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse depicting a rightward facing bust of Franz Joseph I circumscribed by name and title, the reverse inscribed DER TAPFERKEIT (FOR BRAVERY), on loop for suspension from its period original tri fold ribbon, with magnetic metal hook and loop, marked BRONZE on the rim, measuring 40. 30 mm in diameter, weighing 22. 6 grams, in extremely
