Germany, Imperial. A Trench Knife, with Knot Auction Archive Gertrude Neville of Hamilton(Heer Kampfmesser mit Troddel). A Heer trench knife, measuring 28. 5 cm in total length when inserted into the scabbard. It features a 14. 5 cm long, nickel plated, magnetic steel, stiletto style blade which retains factory original sharpening to the edges and tip. Unmarked, the blade emanates from an integral tang, with the transition covered by an oblong crossguard, with two pieces of ribbed wood composing the handle grip. Accompanying the knife is
