The distillery's name Amrut comes from Indian mythology, translating as "Elixir of Life" from Sanskrit. It was believed that anyone who would drink this liquid would be given an eternal life. Perfect, right? The distillery was established in 1948 in Kambipura, India, some 20 km away from Bangalore. While other national distilling shops were focused on low cost production, the entire
