Constructed of a patinated bronze alloy, the obverse bearing a central raised NSFK insignia, circumscribed by inscriptions of NS FLIEGERKORPS GRUPPE 12 for an NSFK unit assigned to the Niederrhein (Lower Rhine) district and SEGELFLUGWETTBEWERB 1939 (GLIDING COMPETITION 1939), unmarked, measuring 9. 5 cm in diameter, accompanied by its original presentation case, constructed
