Instituted 5 December 1841 by Prince Konstantin of Hohenzollern Hechingen and Prince Karl Anton of Hohenzollern Sigmaringen. (Issued 1863 1918). In silver with multi coloured enamels, presenting as a Prussian imperial eagle clutching an orb and sceptre, overlaid with stylized oak leaves and a shield of black and white enamels, with its head circumscribed by a raised inscription featuring the Order
