The jacket is fabricated from a fine brownish green wool, button down epaulette straps on both shoulders, each of which is secured in place by a large brown plastic button at the neck end, with a First Lieutenant rank insignia pinned in place on both straps. There is a 101st Airborne "Screaming Eagles" patch in red, white, yellow and black embroidery sewn in place on the left shoulder, the right
