Constructed of gilded silver with enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Jerusalem Cross with dark red enameled arms, with each arm joined through the quadrants by identical enameled crosses, the obverse overlaid by a central ribbed and gilded medallion bearing a raised monogram of Kaiser Wilhelm II, the reverse
