Constructed of bronzed zink, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a raised map of Crimea and southern Ukraine, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by dates 1941 1942, affixed with all four reverse attachment prongs to a zink backplate with an intact black paper backer and field grey wool liner indicating Heer issue, the shield measuring 52. 63 mm (w) x 61. 81 mm (h), demonstrating moderate
