Constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath with cut out edges, with a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 38. 38 mm (w) x 43. 70 mm (h), weighing 11. 9 grams, demonstrating moderate loss of finish, a first pattern
