Constructed of glazed white porcelain, the exterior bearing hand painted multi coloured flowers, the base maker marked with the logo of Rosenthal Porcelain, Selb, above an inscription of MODELL DES AMTES SCHNHEIT DER ARBEIT indicating quality reflecting the stipulations of the "Beauty of Work" initiative of the DAF (as directed by Robert Ley on 28 November 1933), the latter indicating use at the mess hall of a Deutsche Arbeitsfront
