Spain, Fascist State. An Order Of Military Merit, Cross With White Distinction, C.1940 Archive Royal Canadian Regiment Belt Buckle(Orden del Mrito Militar). Instituted in 1864. King Juan Carlos I (1975 2014). Type VII. In bronze gilt with red, white and blue enamels, measuring 41. 7 mm (w) x 61 mm (h) inclusive of its crown suspension, intact enamels, original peacetime ribbon, on a traditional Spanish style horizontal hanger with pinback, extremely fine. Footnote: The Order of Military Merit was instituted on August 3, 1864 by Queen Isabel II and revised on many occasions
