Germany, Luftwaffe. An Observer’s Badge, Cloth Version for Officers visually-hidden Instituted 1949(Beobachterabzeichen, Stoffausfhrung fr Offiziere). Constructed of dark brown wool, the obverse bearing a hand embroidered silver aluminum wire oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, overlaid by a swooping Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, unmarked, measuring 62 mm (w) x 55 mm (h), a scarce example in uniform removed and extremely fine condition.
