The handle is set off center and there is a gap down the middle of the deck pad which allow the board to be folded in half to reduce its width for storage and transport. The board has a pair of reinforcing strips running the length of the board to increase rigidity which would otherwise be compromised by the use of thinner materials in the lightweight board
