The piece is first sculpted in plaster, and a wax mold is made. At the bronze foundry, the pieces are repeatedly dipped in ceramic to form a heat resistant shell into which the liquid bronze is poured. After being removed from the mold, the bronze is smoothed, sandblasted, and mounted to the granite base before being
