This type of armour plate consisted of iron strips that were attached to the inside on a leather strap. This reconstruction is based on one of the three types of loricae segmentatae that were found in Corbridge, Northern England. Models like this were probably used between 40 and 140 AD. This lorica segmentata is made of 1,2 mm thick steel and is suitable for a chest
